CoU Theatre gets new body
The Comilla University Theatre has formed a new committee for the 2021 session on Saturday. Arko Goswami, a 10th batch student of Anthropology Department, and Ishtiaque Ahmed, a 11th batch student of the same department, have been selected as president and general secretary respectively.
Minhazul Abedin, former organising secretary of CoU Theatre, has announced the 21-member committee at Theatre Night on Saturday.
The others of the office bearers are Vice-Presidents Siam Chowdhury and Anika Afroz Disha, Joint Secretaries Mohammad Naeem and Aditi Roy, Organising Secretary Mohan Chakraborty, Office Secretary Riaz Uddin Rakib, Books and Publication Secretary Imdadul Haque Miron, Treasurer Gulshan Akhter Sweety, Publicity Secretary Rawnak Jahan Neela, Stage Managing Secretary Arafat Rafi and the executive members are Mahabuba Chowdhury and Umme Maria and others.
Associate Professor of Anthropology Department Ainul Haque, Assistant Professor NM Rabiul Awal Chowdhury and Assistant Professor Bangla Department Nahida Begum have been made technical advisors while Proctor Dr Kazi Md Kamal Uddin, Archeology Department’s Assistant Professor Mohammad Sohrab Hossain, Lecturer Israt Jahan Lipa and Mathematics Department’s Lecturer Abdullah Al Mahabub have been made executive advisors.
Former and current theater activists of the cultural organisation and the representatives of different organization of the university were present at the time.
