The first convocation of Comilla University (CoU) will be held tomorrow (Monday) at the central playground on campus. President Md. Abdul Hamid, Chancellor of the university, will preside over the ceremony while finance minister A H M Mostafa Kamal will deliver the convocation speech.
Deputy Minister for education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury and University Grants Commission Chairman Dr Kazi Shahidullah will attend the convocation ceremony as special guests. A total of 2888 students will receive their bachelor and master degree at the first convocation. Among them, 14 students will receive gold medals for their outstanding academic performance.
“All preparation have already been completed to hold the convocation,” said CoU VC Professor Emran Kabir Chowdhury. He also added that adequate security measures have been taken on the occasion.
