The first meeting of the Coordination Committee was held to organize the first convocation of Comilla University (CoU) was held on Monday. Prof Dr Emran Kabir Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of the university, presided over the meeting which was held in the conference room of the university.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Comilla Fizer Mohammad Farabi, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Azim-El-Ahsan, NSI Deputy Director Zafar Iqbal, Civil Surgeon Md. Mujibur Rahman, DGFI Assistant Director Md. Abdus Sayem and others were present.
Registrar (additional responsibility) of the University and Member Secretary of the Central Committee of the 1st Convocation, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Taher presented all the issues of the Convocation. All those present at the meeting gave their views, assuring their full cooperation in order to complete the Convocation properly.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury thanked everyone who attended the meeting and sought the views and cooperation of all to organize the commemoration.
It is to be noted that the first convocation of Comilla University will be held on January 27. This will be held at the university's Central Playground. The first Convocation is attended by 2887 graduates.
