A woman named Tarash Yarjan Khatun (58) of Sirajganj has died mysteriously. The incident took place at Vadas Mohalla of Tarash town center around 3 pm on Monday.
Deceased Yarjan Khatun is the wife of deceased Zainal Abedin Zain of that Mohalla. And around 3:30 pm, the local people saw the dead body of the woman lying in the forest on the bank of a pond near the house and informed the Tarash police station.
Officer in charge (OC) of Tarash police station after receiving the news. Shahidul Islam along with the police reached the spot and started the process of rescuing the body of the woman and sending it to Sirajganj Sheikh Fazilatun Nesha Mujib General Hospital with 250 beds.
Police and locals said that Yarjan Khatun came to his house in Vadas Mahalla from his daughter's house in the neighboring village of Arangail in the morning. Later, around three in the afternoon, the body of the woman was found lying in the forest by the pond near the house.
People immediately reported the matter to police. Later the police came to the spot. However, there were no injury marks on the body.
Officer in charge (OC) of Tarash police station said in this regard. Shahidul Islam said, the dead body is being recovered and sent to Sirajganj Sheikh Fazilatun Necha Mujib General Hospital with 250 beds. And for now it will be a wrongful death case. After the post-mortem report, the actual cause of death will be known and action will be taken accordingly.
