Coronavirus test starts at KMCH

Testing of coronavirus has started at Khulna Medical College Hospital from Tuesday. Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Mayor of Khulna City Corporation inaugurated the Corona testing kits Polymer Chain Reaction Machine at the second floor of the department of Microbiology on Tuesday morning.  

After inaugurating the machine, KCC Mayor said, with the installation of the machine, people of this region will get the opportunity to detect Coronavirus and its treatment. He requests all to stay at home to get rid of the Coronvirus. 

Vice-Principal of KMC Dr. Mehedi Newaz informed, samples of a total of 96 of coronavirus tests will be conducted at a time with the machine. The tests will be conducted free of cost. The result of the test will be available within four-hour of conducting the test.

The Coronavirus test machine installation function was attended, among others, by Divisional Commissioner of Khulna Dr. Muhammad Anowar Hossain Howlader, Director of Health Dr. Rasheda Sultana, Principal of KMC Principal Dr. Abdul Ahad, Additional Commissioner of Police Fazlur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner Helal Uddin, Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sujat Ahmed and Chairman of Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid.
