The contamination of Coronavirus pandemic is once again increasing in Rajshahi. After a long delay, Coronavirus was once again detected in the body of a person in Rajshahi on June-26. On Thursday last Coronavirus was detected among 18 persons in the district.
According to the source of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, the samples of 68 persons were tested at RTPCR Laboratory of RMCH on Thursday and 18 of them were carrying the germs of Coronavirus. The rate of detection was 28. 57 percent.
Meanwhile, earlier on Wednesday the rate of Corona infection in Rajshahi division was 19.15 percent. After testing samples of 124 persons, 12 were found Corona positive. Of them, the highest number was detected in Rajshahi district. In the district 9 were found Corona positive among 47 while 2 among 11 in Chapainawabganj and one among 66 were found positive in Joypurhat district the same day.
On Tuesday, the rate of detection of Coronavirus in Rajshahi district was 16.36 percent. That day samples of 55 persons were tested and 9 were found Corona positive while on Monday 2 were found positive after testing 46 samples. The rate of detection was 4.35 percent.
RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani informed, ward 30 has been kept ready for treatment of the Corona patients but son far no patient has been admitted there.
Civil Surgeon of Rajshahi Dr Abu Sayed Faruk informed, all the Corona affected patients are well. They are in isolation at their houses. They are being regularly communicated. However, he mentioned, an increased tendency of the Coronavirus infection has created alarm and apprehension afresh. As a result, all people have been asked to follow the health rules strictly. Due to continuous vaccination activities, it is unlikely that the Coronavirus situation would turn severe in Rajshahi, he mentioned.
