Corona testing RT PCR lab of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) has been inaugurated. On 7 May, NSTU VC Professor Dr Md Didar ul Alam inaugurated the lab and the lab is situated in the Department of Microbiology of Academic Building 1 of the university.
At that time, among others, MP (Cumilla) of the reserved women's seat of Bangladesh Awami League, Kazi Selina Islam, Noakhali District Civil Surgeon, Dr. Mominur Rahman, ,NSTU treasurer Prof. Dr. Md Faruque Uddin, NSTU Microbiology Department's Chairman, Dr. Firoz Ahmed, NSTU Deputy Registrar Jasim Uddin, NSTU Teachers Association's President Prof. Dr. Newaz Mohammed Bahadur and General Secretary Maznur Rahman were present.
Dr. Firoz Ahmed, Chairman of Department of Microbiology said that the Corona samples would be tested in RT PCR lab of Department of Microbiology and the sample test would be started from 11 May (Monday).
In this way about 500 samples can be tested in 24 hours. Lab activities would remain open 24 hours a day. For this work, 40 volunteers prepared with proper training. Appropriate security measures had been taken so that no one is infected.
He thanked the university and the local administration for the overall cooperation.
