Coronavirus (COVID 19) information based web application of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) has been inaugurated on Sunday (April 19).
Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr. Md. Didar-ul-Alam has inaugurated it. Kawshik Chandra Howlader, Assistant Professor of Department of CSTE and Shahriar Shetu, Lecturer of Department of MIS were connected online.
Prof Didar-ul-Alam thanked all and said that we always thank such efforts. By using this application, we can know many information about pandemic COVID 19 and everyone will benefit from it, he added.
In making the application, two students named Md khalil and Md Jane Alam of Department of ICE, two students named Maksud Alam Rony and Nahid Hasan of Department of CSTE and Assistant Programmer of ICT Division, Ahmedur Rahman Shovon worked under the supervision of Shahriar Shetu and Kawshik Chandra Howlader. The preparation of this application was done with data and APIs.
In this application, machine learning algorithm is used to make outbreak prediction models. As a result, it will be possible to know about Corona virus infection in Bangladesh and other countries of the world in the future and the number of deaths can be known.
Soon, A chatbot with artificial intelligence will be attached to this application so that this application will be able to answer COVID 19 related questions. The Address of the web application is (www.corona.nstu.edu.bd).
