In Chattogram district, 229 more people including doctors and police have been infected with corona virus. Of them, 185 persons are infected in the city and 44 in the upazila. The total number of corona cases in Chattogram is 2429.
Chattogram Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi confirmed the information on Thursday night.
According to the latest information given by the Civil Surgeon's Office late at night, a total of 457 samples were tested in 4 labs in Chattogram. Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital Lab tested positive 139 out of 245 samples.
Chittagong Veterinary University Lab tested 42 positive out of 106 samples of which 17 in the metropolitan area and 25 in different upazilas. Cox's Bazar Medical College Lab tested 22 samples from Satkania-Lohagara and found 12 cases positive. The total number of corona patients in Chattogram is 2429 out of which 197 people recovered and 65 died.
