So far, a total of 176 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Kishoreganj. Among them, Sub-Inspector Mohammad Chan Mia of Bhairab Police Station has become the first police member of Kishoreganj to be free of Corona virus, media cell police confirmed.
On April 9, when he suddenly felt short of breath, he went to Bhairab Upazila Health Complex for first aid and his samples were collected and sent to IEDCR. On April 10, his test was positive for coronavirus Covid-19. On the afternoon of April 10, Md. Chan Mia was sent to Dhaka Kurmitola General Hospital for isolation.
Chan Mia Covid-19 tested negative in two consecutive tests while undergoing treatment at Kurmitola General Hospital and was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday (April 28th) with a 10-day home quarantine order in consultation with higher authorities.
Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman, Civil Surgeon of Kishoreganj, said that Md. Chan Mia, Sub-Inspector of Police worked in Bhairab Police Station with him. He further said that 3 people returned home after winning in the fight with Corona in the district so far.
