Afer a slight recession on Friday, both the rate of Corona infection and the number of death have increased in Rajshahi again during last 24-hour period (8 am Saturday to 8 am Sunday).
Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani, Director of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital at a press briefing on Sunday morning informed the local journalists that the death toll in Corona recorded 13 at the Corona unit of RMCH during last 24-hour.
However, the death toll was only four on Saturday at the hospital. only four patients died at the Corona unit of RMCH.
Meawnhile, after testing samples of suspected Corona virus patients in two PCR laboratories of RMCH, the rate of infection was also shown higher among the people of Rajshahi. The rate of infection was 53.67 percent on Saturday while on Friday; the percentage of infection was nearly 40 percent.
Dr. Saiful Ferdous, Deputy Director of RMCH informed as against the regular 271 beds at the Corona unit of RMCH, a total of 294 patients were taking treatment at the unit on Sunday morning while 17 of them were under treatment at the ICUs.
During last 24-hour, 42 new Corona patients have been admitted to the hospital while 35 Corona patients were released after treatment during the same time.
