It is often found while travelling on the road that youngsters are blaring VIP sirens on their private vehicles whether it be cars or motorbikes creating a lot of public nuisance. This is a serious safety hazard.
In the very first place, the purchase and use of VIP sirens should not be allowed for the common citizens. This has created a scene where a lot of criminals and wrongdoers are taking advantage of VIP sirens and flag stands and availing a sort of privilege that should only be reserved for the higher officials of the country.
A report published in this daily showed that criminals are illegally using official flag stands on their vehicles. As a result, the government is planning a policy on the use of flag stands, stickers, monograms and horn on vehicles.
This is truly a very dire situation if everybody and anybody can get their hands on these important tokens of government’s privilege.

required to take prior permission before using flag stands, stickers,
monograms and special types of sirens on their cars.
The report also went on to share that online casino mafia don Salim Prodhan illegally used the official flag stand on his car while commuting. Moreover, another arrested mastermind fraudster, Md Shahed also used a SUV that featured a flag stand and VIP horn. These are only a couple of cases showing the tip of the iceberg of irregularities about the misuse of flag stands and sirens.
At different times, law enforcers arrested various criminals who were using flag stands only to dodge the law enforcers. It is encouraging to know that the cabinet is going to formulate a guideline regarding this issue.

This is only part of the problem. The sale and purchase of these sirens is as easy as going to the local grocery store. The first step to curb this sort of irregularity will be to stop the import or local manufacturing of such sirens and keep a control over the distribution process. Once such things are ensured, it would be lot easier to control illegal usage of flag stands and sirens.
