The common people are turning to LED technology to save electricity consumption. However, consumers are constantly cheated by the low quality LED products. The imported goods are not monitored by the quality control BSTI. As a result, consumers are not getting the opportunity to complain in this case. BSTI, on the other hand said that, if a complaint is received, the punishment will be brought under the law.
Traders are selling LED bulbs using Easy bike in Kishoreganj without any permission, these LED bulbs are being sold in various shops and wagon with attractive offers. But the bulb soon disappears. Although a six-month guarantee is given. But even before these LED bulbs were destroyed, the dealer or sellers could not be found. No address is given in the packet or the entry card. And this is how ordinary people are being victimized.

BSTI Dhaka Division CM Branch Deputy Director Md. Riazul Haque said that, they would not be able to market without BSTI's permission. But if we find any specific evidence against anybody, we must take action.
BSTI Dhaka Division CM Branch Director Md Sazzadul Bari said, "We cannot do much due to the manpower crisis." It is difficult to find out whether BSTI sealed such a product. Our legal action will be easier if you co-operate.
