Construction work on Bangabandhu Auditorium begins in Khulna

Construction work of 1,000-seat Bangabandhu Auditorium-cum-Multipurpose Hall has been inaugurated on the land of old Rupsha Rest House of Khulna District Council.

Chairman of Khulna Zila Parishad Alhaj Sheikh Harunur Rashid inaugurated the construction work on Tuesday. He requested the people involved in the project to keep the quality of work intact.

Khulna District Council Chief Executive Officer Md Ashaduzzaman presided over the function. 

Later, the budget meeting of the district council for the financial year 2020-2021 was held in the conference room of the district council. Chairman of the district council Sheikh Harunur Rashid presided over the budget meeting.

The meeting discussed various developmental activities of all the upazilas of Khulna district including the revised budget of Tk 58 crore 2 lakh 84 thousand for the fiscal year 2019-2020 and the proposed budget of Tk 115 crore 20 lakh 88 thousand for the fiscal year 2020-2021.

Khulna District Council Chief Executive Officer Md Ashaduzzaman, District Council members Jayanti Rani Sardar, Shobha Rani Haldar, Farhana Nazneen, Nahar Akter, Jasmine Parveen Jolly, Kabir Hossain Khan, Rajat Kanti Shil, Md Zahurul Haque, Dilip Haldar, Sheikh Mosharraf (Babu), Sardar Abu Saleh, Md Sajjadur Rahman, Mollah Akram Hossain, Habibullah Bahar, Sheikh Kamrul Hasan (Tipu), Md Abdul Mannan Gazi, S M Khaledin Rashidi Sukorno, Sheikh Abu Jafar, Chowdhury Mohammad Raihan Farid, Assistant Engineer Md Hafizur Rahman Khan, Administrative Officer S M Mahabubur Rahman, Deputy Assistant Engineer Biplob Kumar Biswas and other officials and employees of the district council were present.
