Four model Mosques and Islamic cultural centers will be constructed in Narail at a cost of Taka 56 crore. These will be constructed under the supervision of Public Works Department.
Executive Engineer of Narail Public Works Department Md. Ahsan Habib said that the construction of four model mosques and Islamic cultural centers in the district during the fiscal year 2019-20 has already begun through the tender process. He expressed optimism that the construction work would be completed in the fixed time.
Under the project of establishing 560 elsewhere in the country, there will be one model mosque and Islamic cultural center in each district headquarters and upazila with the support of Ministry of Religious Affairs.
District Public Works Office sources said, a model mosque and Islamic cultural center will be constructed at Rahmatganj area near Circuit House in Narail district town at a cost of Tk 15.61 crore. Besides, a model mosque and Islamic Cultural Center will be built at a cost of Tk 13.41 crore in Kalia Upazila Sadar bazaar area, another at Lohagara Upazila at a cost of Tk 13.41 crore and another will be constructed at Naxi Bazar area of Narail Sadar Upazila at a cost of Tk 13.41 crore.
