Construction of Union Health Centre begins

The foundation stone of Kshitindra Mohan Sen Health Center at Ruhia Pashchim Union No. 20 in Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila was laid on Sunday morning.

Former Water Resources Minister and MP from Thakurgaon-1 constituency Rmesh Chandra Sen inaugurated the construction work by unveiling the plaque.

Ruhia Thana AL unit President Partha Sarathi Sen, GS Abu Saeed Babu, UP Chairman Anil Chandra Sen, Medical Officer Reza Habib and others were present at the inauguration ceremony of the 30-bed Health Care Center implemented unitedly by Ministry of Health Engineering and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The health service center will be constructed within the next 9 months at an estimated cost of Tk 1.59 crore. The land for the health center was provided by MP Ramesh Chandra Sen.

It may be mentioned that there was no health care center in Ruhia union of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila. Initiatives were taken to build a health center here keeping in view the needs of common people.
