Construction of bldgs on crop land in violation of court order

Allegations are available that work on construction of buildings started on crop land in the dark of night violating court ban. The incident happening in south Jaldi Monchuria area of Banskhali Upazila for the past few days. Tense situation has been prevailing in the area over the issue. 

It has been alleged that some people under the leadership of Amin, Moktar, Nabi Alam, Chagir and Bashir of South Jaldi area, are constructing these houses and buildings.  It is learnt that Omar Mia's son Nazir Ahmad and Syed Ahmed's son Moktar Ahmad Sawdagar of the same area filed a case in the court and a written complaint to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.  Currently, there is tension between the two sides over the construction of buildings on crop land. It has been reported that Nazir Ahmad and Moktar Ahmad were constructing buildings and houses in the dark of night on the crop land owned by Monchuria Delwar Commissioner, in South Jaldi of Banshkhali Municipality for the past few days.  After receiving the news, Nazeer Ahmad and Moktar Ahmad made a written complaint to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) who gave an order to stop construction of any kind of structure at that place.   Even though there is a court case and local trial, he showed thumbs up to everything and built the building in the dark of night. Delwar Hossain, former councilor of Banskhali Municipality, said that the place belongs to Nazir Ahmad and Moktar Ahmad Gong.  

Abdur Rahman's son Amin, Moktar and Nabi Alam Gangra are constructing buildings on crop land without disobeying the court ban local salish (trial).  Currently there is tension in the area over the issue. Rumi Akhtar, the builder of the building said, “The land is ours.  

They are unnecessarily creating barriers in our work.”

Banskhali Police Station OC Tofail Ahmad said that no one has complained about construction of buildings on crop land in South Jaldi Manchuria area.  Action will be taken if complaints are received.
