Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Gift 2nd Phase Housing Construction Project "Beer Nibash" for Indigent Freedom Fighters was inaugurated and a discussion meeting was held at Kalihati, Tangail.
On Sunday (September 11) morning, the local parliament member Hasan Imam Khan Sohail Hazari inaugurated the construction work of the heroic residence at the home of freedom fighter Abdus Chattar Sikdar of Parkhi Union under the Ministry of Liberation War.
Chairman of Upazila Parishad Anshar Ali B.Com, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Sehab Uddin, former Commander of Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad, former commander of Upazila Freedom Fighter Kazi Ashraf Humayun Bangal, heroic freedom fighter Mizanur Rahman Majnu, chairman of Parkhi Union Parishad were present as special guests under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Nazmul Hussain. Liaquat Ali Talukdar, Upazila Awami League's former agriculture and cooperative affairs secretary Ataur Rahman Siddiqui Swapan, former treasurer Ajay Kumar de Sarkar Liton, former joint publicity and publication editor Sharif Ahmed Raju and other freedom fighters and local Awami League leaders.
