Construction of Bamunpara Govt Pry School begins

The construction of the Bamunpara Government Primary School finally started on Friday. Journalist Jahangir Salim, President of the Jamalpur District Corruption Prevention Committee, inaugurated the construction of the building with a two-story foundation.

School management committee president Usman Gani, head teacher Md Mizanur Rahman, PTA president Chohrab Hossain, contractor Sheikh Sohag, prominent businessman Badruzzaman Prince, local mentors AKM Fazlur Rahman, Farooq Hossain, club members were present, among others. Udayan Sajan, Rimon, Majid were also present.

It is learnt that under the Local Government Engineering Project PADP-4, the construction work of the building will be completed within 9 months at a cost of Tk 56 lakh 71 thousand.

Mentionable that the only government primary school in Bamunpara, the most backward area of Jamalpur Municipality, has a relatively good quality of education, but more than two hundred students were suffering due to lack of space. Six schoolteachers have developed the educational programme despite the difficulties.

Journalist Jahangir Salim said the allocation for the building came after multi-faceted discussions and activities. He appealed to the authorities of the contracting firm Nichar Enterprises to complete the work at the earliest. Head teacher Mizanur Rahman said that if the school's connecting road was repaired, the movement of teachers, students and local residents would have been saved from suffering during the monsoon season. He expressed gratitude to the Directorate of Education and LGED for the construction of the building.
