Mayor of Rangpur Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa has directed officials concerned to complete infrastructural developments timely ensuring high quality of works.
He said this at a meeting on progress assessment of development work being implemented with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) assistance in Rangpur City Corporation (RpCC) area at the City Bhaban conference room on Thursday.
Representatives of JICA, city councilors, officials of RpCC and contractors attended the event, arranged abiding by the health directives in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Project Director of JICA Md Golam Mostafa, Chief Executive Officer of RpCC Ruhul Amin Miah, Superintending Engineer of RpCC Amdad Hossain, its Executive Engineer Azam Ali, JICA's Deputy Team Leader Md Shafiul Alam and its Senior Field Engineer Md. Fahad Hassan and a number of contractors addressed the event.
The meeting expressed satisfaction over the progress of the JICA-assisted infrastructural development works and stressed on better coordination among all concerned for timely implementation of all works in the city.
Mayor Mostafa suggested all to properly implement the development works and work unitedly aiming at building an eco-friendly, well planned, modern and beautiful Rangpur city with eye-catching looks all -around having all civic facilities.
He directed all concerned to complete the JICA-assisted infrastructural development works by the current month maintaining quality of works to turn Rangpur into one of the country's most beautiful cities with eye-catching looks everywhere.
