With the slogan of “Work with the Police to build a drug free country”, Community Policing Day was observed in Nilphamari on Saturday morning.
However, the program was arranged by Community Policing forum of Nilphamari and patronized by the District Police Nilphamari.
To observe the day, a large procession started from the SP office and paraded the main points of the town. Later, a view exchange meeting was held at Zilla Shilpakola Academy.
Dewan Kamal Ahmed, Municipal Mayor and the President of District Awami League Nilphamari, presided over the meeting while Aftab Uddin Sharker, MP of Nilphamari-1, was present there as the chief guest. Muhammad Asraf Hossain, PPM award winner SP of Nilphamari, conducted the meeting.
Among others Hafijur Rahman Chowdhury, DC of Nilphamari Administration, Advocate Momotajul Haque, and General Secretary of District Awami League Nilphamari, Shahid Mahmud, Sadar Upazilla Chairman, and Engineer Shafiqul Islam Dablu attended the meeting as the special guests.
Various events were performed on Policing and then 26 winners of different educational institutions were distributed the prizes there.
