A college student was killed in a road accident at Senbug upazila in Noakhali district on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Zahid Islam, 19, son of Gias Uddin, a resident of Mohammadpur village under the upazila. He was a 12th grader of Senbug Degree College.
According to the locals, Zahid was returning home from a local market on his motorbike on Thursday afternoon.
On the way, he lost control over the steering of the bike and hit a roadside tree. He died on the spot.
Senbug Police Station sub-inspector Sultan Azam said being informed, police visited the area and recovered the body.
Later, it was handed over to the family upon their request, added the SI.
