College student dies of snakebite

A college student named Nasim Ali Nishat, 21, died after being bitten by a snake in Baraigram of Natore on Saturday night. 

The incident took place at Madhaimuri village in Majhgaon union of the upazila. Nasim is the son of Akram Mollah of the area and an Honours second-year student at the Accounting Department of Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah Government College.  He was buried at his family graveyard after the funeral prayer on Sunday morning. Nishat's family and locals said Nishat was sitting in their garden while he was bitten by a poisonous snake. He did not pay attention to the matter at first, but when he returned home the poison started reacting. He died shortly after informing his parents.This incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area. The head of the accounting department Professor Abdul Latif Miah expressed his grief over the untimely death of Nishat.
