A college student committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence in Mohammadpur in the capital following family dispute on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Yasin Hossain Bijay, 17, Son of Abdul kader, hailed from Damuda Upazila of Shariatpur. He was the first year student of Mohammadpur
Central College.
The incident took place around 1:00am at East Rajabazar of Mohammadpur in the capital.
Later, he was taken to the Emergency Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 3:00pm where doctor declared
him dead.
Deceased’s brother Raja said ‘Yasin committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan following family dispute. Later he was taken to DMCH where doctor declare him dead’.
DMCH Police Camp In-Charge Mohammad Bachhcu Miah confirmed the matter.
