Teachers and staff of Kismat Ullah Balajan Agricultural and Technical Institute in Roumari have strongly protested the publication of what they call false and baseless news aimed at damaging the college's reputation.

At a recent press conference, Acting Principal Abdul Matin Sarkar addressed misinformation published in a newspaper and online report, which falsely alleged that the college had no students or ongoing classes, while staff continued to draw salaries. He clarified that the institution currently has 185 enrolled students, despite having only 50 seats officially approved by the Technical Education Board.

He added that all classes are conducted regularly by temporary teachers, and the pass rate is over 90%, higher than many other agricultural diploma colleges in the country.

Examinations are strictly held under the supervision of the upazila administration with board-set question papers, and Section 144 is imposed to prevent outsiders from entering the centre—making certificate fraud impossible.

Staff members, including office assistant Amjad Hossain and lab assistant Mosammad Kakli, dismissed allegations of certificate trading and running coaching centres as completely false. They appealed for support from journalists and authorities to protect the reputation of the only agricultural diploma college in the area.
