Coast Guard to celebrate silver jubilee

The Bengali month ‘Falgun’ was welcomed on its first day, by Presidency University Cultural Club in a festive manner at the university campus on Thursday. 

The festival started in the morning with the national anthem. The daylong ‘Boshonto Mela’ and ‘Pitha Utshob’ (a display of different traditional sweets and cakes) were the main attraction of the festival. The university campus was full of life with the spontaneous participation of students and teachers from different departments.  Along with the students, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Mrs. Rokia Afzal Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Matiur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammed Muniruzzaman, Advisor Maj Gen Kazi Ashfaq Ahmed (Retd.), Deans of different faculties, Chairs of different Departments also enjoyed the program. 

In the afternoon, the festival ended with a colourful and entertaining cultural program. The whole arrangement was highly appreciated by all the participants.
