Coast Guard nabs 2 robbers from Tentulia river

On the basis of secret information, BCG Base Bhola under Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone conducted a special operation at the Gangapur launch ghat area of Tetulia river under Borhanuddin upazila of Bhola district at 04:30 am on Wednesday.

Mohammad Hasan (55) and Mohammad Rakib (25), two active robbers of Mohsin Bahini, were given 3 domestic pistols, 4 Ramdas, 5 local da, 1 local ax, 7 torch lights, 1 binoculars. Three mobiles and various tools for making indigenous weapons (1 barrel of indigenous weapons, 2 pipes, 19 springs, 1 firing pin, 1 drill machine, 2 adjustable ones, 3 hammers, 2 hacksaw beds and 3 saws) and 2 looted wooden boats used in the robbery were seized. 

The notorious robber Mohsin and other members of the group fled when they sensed the presence of the Coast Guard. The arrested robbers were identified as Md. Jalu Radhi of West Joynagar area under Daulatkhan upazila of Bhola district and son of notorious robber Mohsin. 

Subsequently, arms and other items used in the robbery were handed over to Borhanuddin police station. Regular operations of the Coast Guard in the areas under the jurisdiction of Bangladesh Coast Guard to maintain law and order, control drugs, public safety as well as to curb piracy and robbery have continued and will continue in the future.
