Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard, Maoa Station conducted a drive at Kandipara area on Sunday. During the drive, 49 mounds of young Hilsa fish were seized.
A total of 49 mounds of Jatka fishes from 13 containers were seized during this special operation.
Acting on a tip-off, officers of Coast Guard conducted a drive in Kandipara fishing port area on Sunday morning. During the drive, Coast Guard found a boat abandoned in the area. Upon searching, a huge amount of Jatka fishes were seized from the boat.
Later, Coast Guard personnel handed over the boat to the Upazila Fisheries Officer. The fishes were distributed among the distressed people of the area.
Officials of Coast Guard in a press release said that such drives will be continued to curb the wrongdoings and maintain peace in the area.
