Co-operative Day celebrated in Raozan

The 54th National Co-operative Day was celebrated in Raozan in a festive atmosphere, with the slogan 'Co-operatives will build the country with equality and equity'.

A colorful rally was taken out from the upazila premises on Saturday morning. The rally paraded through various important roads of the upazila and concluded back at the upazila parishad premises. Later, a discussion and prize distribution ceremony was held at the upazila parishad auditorium.

Presided over by Upazila Co-operative Officer Mintu Barua, the event was attended by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Angching Marma as the chief guest. He said, co-operatives can bring economic balance in the society and build a self-reliant Bangladesh. The country will progress further if everyone works together.

The event was moderated by Binanda Barua, Vice Chairman of The Raozan Co-operative Credit Union Limited. Among others, Professor Ujjal Mutshuddi, senior teacher Narayan Chandra Pal, Chhoton Barua, Ronjon Barua, Tapas Kumar Barua, Sukhendu Bikash Barua, Ujjal De, Morshed Rafiq, etc. spoke on the occasion.

After the discussion, Chief Guest Angching Marma and other guests presented crests to the best co-operative societies.
