Chattogram Medical University (CMU) in collaboration with PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) organized a seminar titled “Imagining a Digital Future for Medical Education in Bangladesh" on the occasion of World Health Day 2026.
The seminar was held on Tuesday morning at the Faisal IT Hub of Chattogram Medical College.
The keynote paper was presented by Sadab Mahmud, Associate Director of PwC Bangladesh. Speakers at the seminar included PwC Bangladesh Associate Director Sumaiya Ahmed and Chief Consultant Syour Gosal.
The seminar was presided over by the Chattogram Medical University, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Omar Faruk Yusuf, and conducted by the University Registrar, Professor Dr. Sultana Ruma Alam.
The event was attended by the heads, deputy heads, and medical education unit leaders of 16 medical colleges and 1 dental college affiliated with Chattogram Medical University.
Also present were CMU Syndicate members Professor Dr. Khurshid Jamil Chowdhury and Professor Dr. Tamizuddin Ahmed; Controller of Examinations and Dean of Basic Sciences and Paraclinical Sciences, Professor Dr. Ajoy Dev; Dean of the Nursing Faculty, Professor Dr. Meherunnisha Khanum; Director of Finance Mohammad Ikramul Haq Khan; College Inspector Professor Dr. Maynal Hossain; Deputy Registrar Mohammad Ikhtiarul Haq; Deputy Controller of Examinations Md. Atikur Rahman, along with other university officials.
The seminar featured important discussions on digital innovation in education and the potential use of technology to advance medical education in Bangladesh.
