CMP traffic sergeant dies of stroke

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Traffic North Division Sergeant Mahbubur Rahman (48) died of a stroke. He died at Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital at 9.30pm on Thursday.

Confirming the matter, Inspector (Administration) of CMP Traffic North Division Md. Mohiuddin said, ‘Sergeant Mahbubur Rahman had a stroke on Thursday afternoon. 

We rushed him to CMC Hospital. Doctors declared him dead at 9.30 pm. After the janaza on Friday morning, CMP sent a team to his village home Pabna. He will be buried in the family cemetery in Pabna.

He added that although the cause of death was mentioned in the death certificate of CMC Hospital, his samples were collected by the CMP for corona test.

Sergeant Mahbubur Rahman's village home is in Sathia upazila of Pabna district. He is the father of a son and a daughter. Sergeant Mahbub joined the police force in 1999 as a sergeant. He has served in DMP, Highway Range, Sylhet District and CMP.
