Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir visited the city's Puja Mandaps during the Durga Puja. He exchanged autumn greetings with the leaders of the Mahanagari Puja Committee. He visited JMSen Hall, Rajapukur Lane Puja Mandap in Andakilla area on Tuesday night.
He said that senior police officials are engaged in round-the-clock security activities at the Durgotsab in the autumn. Until the end, the detective police will be in charge of security along with the uniformed police. Extra caution has been taken centering on the celebration of Puja. He sought the full cooperation of the people of the city in celebrating the Durga Puja in a smooth and peaceful manner.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration and Finance) Sana Shaminur Rahman, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Mohammad Shamsul Alam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Mohammad Amir Zafar and other senior police officials and leaders of city's Puja committee were present.
