Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner (Additional IGP) Krishna Pada Roy inspected the law and order situation in different markets of Chattogram city. On Sunday afternoon, while inspecting the law and order situation in New Market Bipani Bitan, Tamakumondi Lane, Riazuddin Bazar and Teribazar under Kotwali police station of the city, he exchanged views with traders, workers and buyers of various markets and and market associations, and wanted to know if there is any problem.
He said that the trade of the entire Bangladesh is being conducted around the trading city of Chattogram. Therefore, law and order forces and intelligence police have been appointed in and around every market in the city. All kinds of legal assistance will be provided so that the city dwellers can shop safely and celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr in a festive atmosphere. CMP will always be on the side of businessmen for the welfare of business. He urged the police to report any type of criminal activities including robbery, fraud, mobile phone theft, food adulteration and counterfeit money.
During the visit, CMP Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration and Finance) ASM Mahtab Uddin, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Masood Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman (Additional DIG) and CMP senior officers were present.
