CMP-Bidyanondo Field Hospital has been set up at Bitak Junction under Pahartali Police Station in the port city of Chittagong under the initiative of Chittagong Metropolitan Police and Bidyanondo Foundation to combat the second stage of corona virus infection. The hospital was inaugurated on Wednesday at the Bitak junction under Pahartali police station in Chittagong by Eminent sociologist and Premier University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Anupam Sen. Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
This is the second time that CMP and Bidyanondo Foundation have taken this initiative to protect the people from Kovid-19 infection. Corona test will be completely free. A team consisting of 8 skilled physicians, 12 nurses and more than 50 volunteers under 1 experienced consultant will be in charge of round-the-clock treatment of patients. In addition, skilled doctors from different parts of the country and abroad will be connected through telemedicine services.
Each bed in this 70-bed hospital has an oxygen supply system. Of these, 24 beds have central oxygen supply system. Attached to 3 beds are high flow nasal cannula. A variety of drugs and tests have been provided free of cost to treat the affected patients. The hospital will also provide 4 meals a day to the affected patients. Ambulance system will be ready for the patients at all times. The helpless and distressed people of the society as well as all the people of the city can get treatment in this hospital.
Bidyanondo Foundation General Secretary Shipra Das presided over the function. Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Mohammad Shamsul Alam, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shyamal Kumar Nath, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Mohammad Amir Zafar and other senior police officials, hospital doctors, nurses and Bidyanondo Foundation officials were present on the occasion.
