CMP active against price spiral

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) has announced strict action against those who sell drugs at high prices in the city. CMP said in a press release on Saturday night.

According to various sources, the price of various medicines related to corona is being increased in some pharmacies. CMP will take strict action if it is accused of selling drugs at high prices.

CMP has already raided drug stores in different places including Hazari Lane in Chittagong metropolitans. The operation will continue. Intelligence surveillance has been stepped up to gather information on illegal stocks and price hikes of drugs in different areas of the city. 

CMP has sought the cooperation of people from all walks of life in Chittagong city’s in this regard.

It has been requested to inform the officer-in-charge of the nearest police station or CMP hotline number (CMP hotline regarding corona virus: 01880808080) if the price of any type of medicine is higher in any pharmacy of Chittagong metropolitans.
