Planning Minister MA Mannan said the need for CMA professionals is very significant in terms of fair spending.
He said the demand for CMA profession is growing worldwide and Bangladesh is not also an exception as because of our economic and industrial growth.
Minister was addressing the celebration of the “International Accounting Day 2021” on Wednesday, organized by the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) at its office premises, Nilkhet in the capital.
Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh and AKM Delwer Hussain FCMA, President SAFA, Past President and Council Member, ICMAB attended the event as special guest with President of ICMAB Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA in the chair.

Md. Abdul Aziz FCMA and Abu Sayed Md. Shaykhul Islam FCMA Past President and Council Member, ICMAB delivered their speech as guest speakers while Md. Syful Islam FCA, FCMA, Past President ICAB made a presentation on “Accounting in Digital Transformation: Nagivating Paradigm Shifting for Professional Accountants”.
While addressing, Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury said that the accounting profession is facing challenges. Comprehensive reporting system will come. The new generation has to take up the challenges. He also talked about modern accounting.
AKM Delwer Hussain FCMA sought the cooperation of the government in expanding the scope of cost audit.
President of ICMAB Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA said that ICMAB is dedicated to play its role for the clarity and development of our economy through the practice of Cost and Management accounting. Working system of the accountants is changing and the syllabus is changing in line with this. We are responsible to the country and the nation. He also added that ICMAB has trained up VAT Officers.
Md. Abdul Aziz FCMA delivered his speech as Guest Speaker. He said that ICMAB want to take the country forward by working as a professional.
Abu Sayed Md. Shaykhul Islam FCMA said that Accounting Reports have to be transparent. Its need to understand the Digital Transformation,which is a Challenge for us.
