The cluster agricultural university admission application process has started, and 3718 seats in the cluster system of 9 agricultural universities in the 2023–24 academic year admission test will be taken in 100 marks.
Nine agricultural universities in the country have published the admission circular for first-year graduates (honours) in the academic year 2023–24. On Wednesday, April 17, Agriculture Cluster Admission Test Organizing Committee convener Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Vice-Chancellor Professor ASM Lutful Ahsan said in the notice that the application will start on April 22. The application fee is fixed at Tk 1,200 (excluding the transaction fee).
In the notification, it has been stated in the application eligibility that the students who are interested in participating in the admission test in the academic year 2023–24 are only those who have passed the SSC/equivalent examination in 2019/2020/2021 and the HSC/equivalent examination in 2022/2023 from the science department, including biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics subjects. Candidates who passed the SSC/Equivalent Standard Examination in 2022 can also apply.
The applicant should have a minimum GPA of 4 and an aggregate GPA of 8.5 in both the SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent examinations, except for the fourth subject. In the notification, it was also stated. that the acceptance of applications will start on April 22 and will continue until May 30. The admissions test will start on Saturday, July 20, at 11:30 a.m. It will end at 12:30 p.m. The application fee is fixed at Tk. 1200. Admit card collection and other important matters will be mentioned in the online admission notification. Admission test will be held for 3,718 seats in a cluster system of nine agricultural universities.
Bangladesh Agricultural University has the highest number of seats. The least number of seats is at Kurigram Agricultural University, a new addition to the agriculture cluster. This university has received approval to start the education program in the current academic year.
In the admission circular, the total number of seats in the cluster system of nine agricultural universities is 3718. In Bangladesh, Agricultural University is 1116; in Bangabandhu, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University is 435; in Sherbangla, Agricultural University is 698; in Patuakhali, Science and Technology University is 448; in Chittagong, Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is 270; in Sylhet, Agricultural University is 431; in Khulna, Agricultural University is 150; in Habiganj, Agricultural University is 90; and in Kurigram, Agricultural University has 80 seats.
The application starts on April 22, and the application will continue until May 30.
The admissions test is on July 20. The admissions test will be held on that day from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The admissions test will have 100 marks in the MCQ system. As per HSC/equivalent exam syllabus 2023 (English 10 marks, Zoology 15 marks, Botany 15 marks, Physics 20 marks, Chemistry 20 marks, and Maths 20 marks)
The exam will be conducted across eight test centers across the country.
Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur; Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka; Patuakhali University of Science and Technology, Patuakhali; Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chittagong; Sylhet Agricultural University, Sylhet; and examinations will be held simultaneously at Khulna Agricultural University, Khulna, and Habiganj Agricultural University, Habiganj.
According to the list of examination centers, the applicant has to mention the order of preference of the examination center from 1 to 8.
