The cluster admission test of three engineering universities – Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), has been delayed for two more months considering the current situation of Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the newly set schedule, the test will be held on August 12 at the same hours, which was scheduled to be held on June 12 earlier. This information was given through a circular jointly signed by Md Rabiul Alam and Moinul Islam, who are the president and Member Secretary of the integrated admission committee.
The circular was later published in the website of the integrated admission test of CUET, KUET and RUET (https://www.admissionckruet.ac.bd/) on Wednesday (May 26).
Earlier, the admission committee of three engineering universities decided to postpone the exam at a virtual meeting with the members on Tuesday (May 25). However, the list of eligible candidates to participate in the admission test will be published on the pre-determined date, June 2 next month.
Out of the eligible applicants for 3,201 seats, the top 30,000 will be given the opportunity to participate in the admission test on the basis of the total marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English in the Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations.
The admission test committee of CUET, KUET and RUET published the admission circular on April 20. There, it was said that the test of Group-A (Engineering Departments and Urban and Regional Planning Department) would be held on June 12 from 10 am to 12 noon while the examinees of Group-B (Engineering Departments, Urban and Regional Planning Department and Department of Architecture) would attend the test from 10 am to 1:45 pm.
