The 9th Intra Department Moot Court Competition organized by Southeast Moot Court Society was held at Department of Law & Justice, Southeast University on Saturday.
This competition included number of rounds namely preliminary round, quarter final, semifinal and final. A number of 24 teams comprising 48 students participated in the competition.
After successfully passing all the rounds, the two teams advanced to final. Two finalist team members are Md Al-Amin Hossain and Md Pavel Sarker, Forruk Ahmed and Md Moontasir Rahman Masum respectively. The Chief Guest of the Closing and Certificate Awarding Ceremony was Prof Dr Rahmat Ullah, Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka. Prof Dr ANM Meshquat Uddin, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Southeast University presided over the occasion while Mr Md Asraful Islam, Chairman, Department of Law & Justice delivered the Welcome Speech.
The champion team, the runner up team and the semifinalists were felicitated with the awards and the participants were given the certificates of participation. Among others, Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed, (Retd), Registrar, faculty members of Law & Justice Department and members of Southeast Moot Court Society were present in the award-giving ceremony.
