Published : 01 Apr 2022 10:58 PM

Students will fall behind if they do not attend classes during Ramadan, said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni.

“The reason behind taking classes in Ramadan is that in-person classes were suspended for two years. And especially those who will take part in SSC and HSC exams in 2022, will fall behind if they do not attend classes during Ramadan. They will face problems in terms of finishing the syllabus. That is why classes must be held. However, it has not been decided yet till which date the classes will be held,” she said.

The Education Minister made the remarks while responding to a question from reporters after a programme at Palakhal High School ground in Kachua upazila of Chandpur on Friday morning.

She said that the students had to face a lot of problems for the last two years sitting at home.

“After that in-person classes started but schools were closed again for coronavirus. The classes have started now and it would not be right to stop the classes for Ramadan again,” she added.

Dipu Moni further said that the issue of democracy does not suit BNP who caused harm through terrorism and sabotaged the country.
