Classes at primary schools from 9am-3pm during Ramadan

Government primary schools across the nation will maintain operations during the first 10 days of Ramadan, with classes running from 9:00am to 3:00pm. This directive stems from the Primary and Mass Education Ministry, as delineated in an official order endorsed by Director General Shah Rezwan Hayaat of the Directorate of Primary Education.

Under the revised schedule, teachers will receive a 30-minute break to observe prayers. Initially, the annual holiday list had earmarked 30 days of closure for primary schools during Ramadan. However, on February 9, the Ministry opted to revise this plan, extending school hours to accommodate learning during the initial phase of the holy month.

This adjustment seeks to ensure the continuity of educational activities, affording students uninterrupted access to learning opportunities.

By striking a balance between religious observance and academic obligations, the Ministry's decision underscores a commitment to facilitating both educational pursuits and spiritual practices within primary schools nationwide. The move reflects a proactive approach to harmonizing religious customs with educational imperatives, fostering an environment conducive to both learning and religious observance. It signifies a concerted effort to uphold educational standards while respecting the significance of Ramadan, thereby promoting inclusivity and enabling students to engage fully in both academic and spiritual pursuits during this sacred time.
