The registration process for Class VIII students under the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Education will start on September 10. Students can fill out forms online and submit fees until October 9. Only students from institutions with teaching permission and recognition from the Dhaka Education Board can register under their own school's name.
Students from unauthorized institutions can register through nearby approved lower secondary or secondary schools, including schools and colleges. However, students from unapproved institutions without teaching permission cannot register through their own schools. If any student fails to register within the deadline, the head of the institution will be held responsible.
To be eligible for registration, students must be at least 11 years old by January 1 of the year of the Junior School Certificate (JSC) exam and no older than 17 years by December 31. For students with special needs, the maximum age limit is extended to 22 years.
For registration, students must log in using their institution's EIIN and password by clicking the OMES/eSIF button on the Dhaka Board website. After logging in, they should click on eSIF JSC from the dashboard, provide the necessary registration details, and print the Sonali Seba slip by clicking on "Print Sonali Seba" with the student's name, mobile number, and the number of students.
This registration process ensures that eligible students from recognized schools can take part in the JSC examination, maintaining the quality and standard of education under the Dhaka Board. All school authorities are advised to complete the process on time to avoid any issues.
