At least two people were injured in a clash between two factions of the National Citizen Party (NCP) in Dhaka on Friday evening, reportedly stemming from a previous financial dispute.
The incident occurred around 6:15pm on the second floor of the Shaheed Abu Sayeed Convention Hall in the capital's Shahbagh area.
Witnesses said that at the time, an NCP coordination meeting for Dhaka North, South, and district units was taking place on the third floor of the same venue.
During the meeting, party members from Mohammadpur (Basila) and Bangshal got into a scuffle on the floor below.
One party activist from the Bangshal unit, identified as Yusuf, was injured in the incident.
