The criminal investigation department (CID) police in a drive at district passport office of Jalkuri area on Sunday noon arrested five brokers along with passports and fake seals and others passport related documents. Arrestees are identified as Monir Hossain 35, Rashed,32, Junayet Ahmed Joni,28, Al-Amin,23, and Rifat,20.
Police recovered 88 passports, 3 NID cards, 605 passport delivery slips, and a good numbers of class one officer’s fake seal from the arrestees possessions. Assistant police super of Narayanganj CID office Harun-or- Rashid confirmed the information to the media.
Harun added that complaints have been received from the different sufferer as the passport office run by brokers. Therefore, we trying to unearth the link of the passport office with brokers.
