One alleged drug peddler was arrested with 79 pieces of Yaba pills by the members of RAB-6 from Darshana Rail Gate area of Chuadanga district on Thursday.
The arrestee was identified as Abdul Gaffar, residentof Shantipara in Darshana Thana.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB personnel raided the area and detained Abdul Gaffar. They also seized 79 pieces of Yaba pills from his possession.
The detained person with Yaba pills was handed over to police and a case was filed with Darshana Police Station in this connection. Officials of RAB-6 later at a press conference said that such drives will be continued to curb the wrongdoings, control drug peddling and maintain peace in the area.
