Victory Day was observed under the auspices of District Administration, Upazila Administrations, Socio-culture organizations, educational institutes and Police department on December 16 included hoisting of national flag, placing wreaths at the monument of liberation war, discussion meetings, cultural functions, march past, friendly sports competition, special prayer and supplying improve diet to the inmates of Jailckhana and Hospitals.
Soliaman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP, Mohamad Aminul Islam Khan, DC, Abdullah Al Mamun, SP along with other officials placed wreaths at the monument of liberation war. Jahingir Alam Malik, Mayor of Chuadanga Pourasabha and freedom fighters also gave wreaths at the monument.
A march past program was arranged on the day at Mohamadan Sporting Club Football Maidan in the town. Members of police, Ansar-VDP, fire station, scouts and students of educational institutes took part at the march past.
Mohammad Aminul Islam Khan, DC and Abdullah Al Mamun, SP took salute and visited the march past.
District Administration presented gift among the freedom fighters and its family members. Special prayers were arranged at mosques, temples and churches. Improved diet was supplied among inmates of hospitals and prison.
