Chirkutt is the most popular band of modern times. Chirkutt started its journey in 2002. Since then, they have completed 18 years in the industry. To commemorate this achievement they will release 18 songs in the current year. The first of these songs is a patriotic song. This is going to be the first original patriotic song ever made by Chirkutt. The title of the song is 'Banglar Kotha'.
The band members took part in the shooting of the song at the Bengal Studios last Tuesday. The song was released in a video format on Friday evening at 7 pm on the official YouTube channel of Chirkutt. Sharmin Sultana Sumi, the vocalist of the band, said, ‘I can hardly believe that the band has completed 18 years.
In order to make this year memorable, we have taken the initiative to release 18 songs. Two more songs are going to be presented to the audience this month. In addition, we will do several concerts outside the country.’ Only three albums have been released by Chirkutt on their long journey in music.
They released their debut album 'Chirkuttnama' in 2010. Their second album 'Jadur Shohor' was released in 2013 and in their third album 'Udhao' was released in 2017.
