China offers scholarship for Bangladeshi students

Applications for the MOFCOM Scholarship 2026 are now open for international students. The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China is offering this fully funded opportunity for Master’s and PhD programs in several top Chinese universities.

Introduced in 2008, this scholarship aims to develop skilled officials and senior professionals from developing countries. The selected students will get the chance to study one or two-year Master’s programs or three-year doctoral programmes in fields like government, trade, agriculture, technology, education, culture, and health.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees, research costs, accommodation, living expenses, and international travel. Each Master’s student will receive 36,000 RMB per year, while PhD students will get 42,000 RMB per year. In addition, a 3,000 RMB settlement allowance and comprehensive medical insurance will be provided.

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens under the age of 45, with a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of work experience. Priority will be given to those serving in public service, management, or research positions. Good health and English language proficiency are mandatory, with a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 80.

Interested candidates must apply through the official “CSC Study in China” website by selecting Program Category Type A and entering Agency Number 00010. The application process requires submitting personal details, academic records, a study plan, language certificates, and health reports.

A total of 26 renowned universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, and Zhejiang University, are participating in this program. Deadlines vary by country.
