China based textile factory launched at Ishwardi EPZ

Win ProTextile Mills Ltd., a fully Chinese owned textile factory has been launched at Ishwardi Export Processing Zone. Executive Chairman of BEPZA Major General S M Salahuddin Islam BP, SPP, ndc, psc formally inaugurated the factory of Ishwardi EPZ as a Chief Guest recently. 

This company will produce yarn with an investment of US$ 3.74 Million. It will create the employment opportunity of 264 Bangladeshi nationals. This company will play a supporting role to the 100 percent export oriented RMG factories. 

Major General S M Salahuddin Islam said, Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to build Sonar Bangla for next generation. BEPZA is a unique organization in Bangladesh; so many countries of the world have invested in the EPZs of Bangladesh. BEPZA is working constantly for socio-economic development of the country under the guidance of Prime Minister. BEPZA EZ will start its journey very soon. The development work of BEPZA Economic Zone Mirsharai, Chattogram is progressing fast. We are inviting investors from home & abroad to invest in BEPZA Economic Zone, he added.   Later on the inauguration, Executive Chairman of BEPZA went round the factory. 

Among others, Mohammad Lutfor Rahman, Customs Commissioner, Rajshahi, Jammy Kwok Chan, Chairman of Win Pro Textile Mills Ltd., Md. Tanvir Hossain, General Manager (Investment Promotion), Md. Abdul Alim, General Manager of Ishwardi EPZ including officials of Ishwardi EPZ and Win Pro Textiles Ltd. were present in the program.

Mentionable that, 46 Chinese enterprises are operating their business in EPZs under BEPZA while other 22 factories are under implementation. These Chinese owned factories have created the employment opportunity of 53,908 Bangladeshi nationals with the investment of US$ 373.94 million in 8 EPZs run by BEPZA.
