Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam on Saturday expressed hope that the children will be grown as the worthy leaders of the country to take the country forward.

"I want the children to be ideal patriotic, humane and hardworking citizens for the future. May they become symbols of moral leadership, beacons of courage and potential. They will develop into worthy leaders to take our country and nation forward," he said.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the ''Bangladesh Police Merit Scholarship-2023'' ceremony for the meritorious children of members working in the Bangladesh Police at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium at Rajarbagh.

"I think our children will grow up, they will do more meritorious work. Not only in studies, but they will also have a sign of success in real life and at work," he said.

The police chief has said the future generation will be driven by honesty, hard work and dreams to create the future of the nation.

Addressing the parents, the police chief said that their contribution to the success of your children is undeniable.

Still, I think it is a true rare revolution that you have raised your children to be enlightened people. I believe that this merit scholarship program of Bangladesh Police is not just an award, it is an example," he said.
